Poetry in Film

   As a filmmaker I believe it is imperative to create works that challenge the audience perspective of storytelling. Especially in the medium of short films where narrative storytelling can be challenged forgivingly. One of these techniques which I feel has been overlooked is poetry. My ambition to work with poetry in film is an opportunity for me to develop ways in which I can engage an audience into an intimate understanding of a character and the world in which they themselves exist. Through this we get a deeper exploration for the audience.
